Posted by edison1205 on June 15, 2010

According to an account in the Home News, Edison Schools Superintendent John DiMuzio is retiring effective June 30.  His decision follows a 4-4 vote by the board to offer him a new contract.  A majority of five would have been required.

The article does not say who the acting superintendent will be.  DiMuzio’s salary, according to Gannett sources, is $177,480, and he has 41 years’ experience.
